What to Expect

A wonderful serenity has taken possession of my entire soul, like these sweet mornings of spring which I enjoy with my whole heart. I am alone, and feel the charm of existence in this spot, which was created for the bliss of souls like mine. I am so happy, my dear friend, so absorbed in the exquisite sense of mere tranquil existence, that I neglect my talents.

  • View the City Walls
  • Hiking in the forest
  • Discover the famous view point “The Lark”
  • Sunset on the cruise

Itinerary

Day 1- Arrival in Amman

●arrival time (depends on your flight): You will be awaited at Queen Alia airport by our representative who will safely transfer you within 45min to your hotel in Amman.

Day 2- Amman Citadel – Ahel El kahf (“seven sleepers”) – Mount Nebo - Amman

●7am: Breakfast at the hotel.
●Your tour will start off by going to Amman’s Citadel. Which is situated on a “mountain” in central Amman. Known for being one of the oldest continuously inhabited places. This first stop will give you a glimpse over the capital before going to Amman-Downtown. Known as “Al-Balad” by the locals. Where you will get to see the different & various markets and ancient Souks. Ending this tour will be the visit of the most obvious and impressive remnant of its Roman past. The Roman theater that was built at the time Amman was known as “Philadelphia” (around 106AD).
●We will then make you visit the cave of the “seven sleepers”. The story of these 7 sleepers is known in Christian and Muslim traditions. The story happened in 250. And is about a group of youths who fled religious persecution from the city of Ephesus by hiding in the cave and reemerged 300 years later!!!
●Then we will transfer you to Mount Nebo. There you’ll have a view over the Jordan Valley, the hills of Jerusalem & the Dead Sea.
●Finally we will be back at your hotel in Amman, giving you time to rest well.

Day 3- Amman -Prophet Shuaib Tomb – Shrine of Abu Ubaidah – Ajloun Castle - Amman

●7am: Breakfast at the hotel.
●First of all, we will visit the claimed tomb of Prophet Shuaib. Which is located in the Balqa region. Shuaib is known to be one of the few Arabian Prophets mentioned in the Qur’an.
●Then we’ll take you visit the Shrine of Abu Ubaidah. Known for being one of the Companions of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad (-pbuh-).
●Our last stop will be in Ajloun. Where we will visit The Castle of Ajloun. Which is a 12th century Muslim Castle situated in northwestern Jordan.
●Finally, we will be back at your hotel in Amman, giving you time rest well.

Day 4- Amman - Dead Sea – AlKarak Castle – Mutah - Petra

●7am: Breakfast at the hotel.
●For the next hour, you will be driving toward the lowest point on Earth passing by winding roads. Spread some of that mud on your skin. It might burn a little but you’ll feel all fresh afterwards. Keep in mind that it’s known to be Earth’s lowest elevation on land. And the deepest hyper-saline lake in the world. Its harsh environment does not permit the flourishment of any plant or animals. On the other hand, it has extremely healthy & beneficial properties that attracted visitors for thousands of years. And today it will supply you with natural mud that you can spread on your skin putting any skincare lotions to shame.
(PS: Be careful not to splash Dead Sea‘s water in your eyes…. it’s salt:).
●Our next stop will be at Al-Karak. A city known for the Kerak Castle (aka Crusader castle). Which is one of the three largest castles in the region (the other two are in Syria). This monument was built by the Crusaders around 1133. And has always been valued for having such a strategic positioning. Just go see the view you’ll have from up there!
●Afterwards we will be going to Mu’tah. A town in the Karak region. Known for the “Battle of Mu’tah” in 629 CE. Which was the first military engagement the Muslim Arabs and the Byzantine Empire. We will make you visit there the tombs of Zaid bin Harithah, Ja’far bin Abi Talib and Abdullah bin Ruwahah.
●And you’ll end the day’s journey in Petra. Where you might assist to Petra’s night show (available Monday, Wednesday & Thursday around 8:30pm). A fascinating sight to be a part of.
●Your accommodation for the night will be in Petra.

Day 5- Petra Exploration - Amman

●7am: Enjoy your breakfast at your hotel in Petra.
●Your day will start by adventuring thru the Petra Seeq (canyon). You can choose to go either on foot or you can choose to enjoy a short horse ride leading you to “Al Khazneh”. Known to be one of the seven wonders of the world. Just try to grasp the fact that the Arab Nabateans, more than 2000 years ago, carved this 45m high monument Treasury into the red mountain rock.
●We will finally be back at your hotel in Amman, giving you time rest well.

Day 6- Departure from Amman

●Departure time (depends on your flight): You will be transferred safely from your hotel to the Airport for your departure.
